…and mommy to 6!
As you can see, we have a lot of girls in a row followed by a treasured boy and another precious girl on the end. I am grateful to be a SAHM and to homeschool our kids! Our family has had the privilege of living in L’viv, Ukraine, for the last 17 years, where we serve as missionaries.
When I’m not teaching lessons or holding a toddler, I can probably be found with a book and a cup of tea. (The Kindle is my especial favorite since we live overseas!) I also enjoy walks, playing piano, and Ukrainian study. I’m drawn to time management systems, organization (I’m forever rearranging the furniture), and devising new routines for our family. Please don’t hold me to any of that if you come to visit. 😉
I would be nothing without Jesus Christ, who died and rose again for me, cleansed me of my sin, gives me eternal life, and now calls me blameless and beloved.
Our life in Ukraine
As a single young adult, I spent time in several countries: Romania, Mexico, and Taiwan. By the time I came back to America, I was looking for a way to get back overseas. I loved foreigners, enjoyed the challenges of new foods, places and languages, and most of all, I believed God wanted to me to share Jesus with others.
Just before my 22nd birthday, I was introduced via email to a handsome young American who was making his life in Ukraine. Well, actually, he was on a 7-month assignment to Thailand at the time we began writing letters to each other. After 2 1/2 months of corresponding, he came back to the States and promptly proposed to me! We were married 4 months later in September, 2004.
Only 3 weeks after our marriage, my husband and I moved to L’viv, Ukraine, and have made our lives in this beautiful city ever since! We partner in a ministry called Euro Team Outreach (ETO), which among other things operates a Bible correspondence course.
