From Our Week

Having teens is fun; you get to enjoy the results of their passion and energy! One tasty such “result” has been Abby’s interest in sourdough.

A satisfyingly bubbly starter
Dough for banana muffins.
The finished product was super tasty, with a good crumb.

We’ve established a new routine and are back in the swing of homeschooling, with everyone getting out of bed earlier in the mornings. It has felt so good!!!

Tackling schoolwork with energy.
Good ole’ Beverly Cleary! We took a picture to commemorate finishing the book.
Being goofy

Mia is fascinated with babies. After seeing a friend nurse her baby under a nursing cover, she wanted to have one too. David obligingly helped. 😅

Hosanna was excited to see her friend Iryna again this week. They played together at our house after church on Sunday.

Hosanna is adept at befriending Ukrainians of all ages!

My dear friend, Katelin, is leaving soon with her family for an extended stay in the States. God has given us many precious memories together as missionary wives in Ukraine. We will miss being together, but we know God has a plan for our futures!

The two of us wanted a last “girl time” outing together, but found ourselves in the middle of a quarantine with restaurant limitations. Rebekah and Hosanna to the rescue! They teamed up with me to host a tea party for the two of us, complete with fancy food and a relaxing ambiance.

I’m going to miss this lady!
One of our lovely servers. (I’m kicking myself for not getting a picture of Rebekah! I got one of the laundry instead. 🤪)
Um, yeah, it was pretty fabulous.
Rebekah was the one behind this stunning food art! And just so you know, my piece of cake is tiny because it was my second serving. 😉
Getting to hold baby Eric was a highlight too!
David asked to hold him too and couldn’t stop smiling.

Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.

Psalm 34:8

  1. What a beautiful view into your beautiful life. I don’t mean to say that your life is perfect – just that in every instance (pictured) you saw the good and the beautiful and accentuated that. I can only think of those verses which speak of adorning the gospel and bringing up your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Well done! ❤️
