To quote a favorite childhood read, “Summer brings us many things…”

We devised a temporary solution, but are still working on figuring out what is causing this.Hosanna posing under some ferns while out on a walk with our helper. (The bonnet was her idea. She has her own unique sense of style!)Meanwhile, Kathryn gets a picture next to this glorious rose bush.Another adventure was Kathryn’s busted chin. She thought it was quite wonderful to go to the doctor, but the stitches part wasn’t so fun. 😦6 stitches!Thrilled to have those boogers taken out! This was a fun children’s play area at the pediatrician’s. Overall, she thought going to the doctor was exciting!David is in truck heaven!
Abby did a lot of baking while our CMO team was here. She kept them in banana bread!Ready for the ovenRebekah read about characters in a favorite book eating a most idyllic breakfast: blueberry muffins, fresh raspberries, scrambled eggs, and freshly squeezed orange juice. It was a special morning when we were able to re-create this same breakfast. Well, all except the orange juice. 😉Berries are available for only a few weeks in the summer, so these were special treats! (P.S. It wasn’t really cold, but Rebekah likes her warm, cozy gear!)It worked out well that it happened to be 4th of July too!Abby got to go to a teen camp this summer with Baptist church group.A farewell picture at the camp with her team leader. (Daddy and sisters went to pick her up a little early.)A most joyous homecoming! These two could hardly do without each other.
Hey! I’m Kelsie, wife to Joshua, and mom to 6! I have a growing fascination with words and the art of writing. Sharing a great book with my kids is among my favorite pastimes, or just enjoying one for myself over a cup of tea. My days are full of teaching, daily walks, and let’s face it, lots of messes, noise, and food prep. ;) An important theme in my life since I was very young has been fellowship with Jesus Christ through the truth of the Bible. This blog is a place where I share our family life and reflections from my walk with God.
